What exactly does a good EU deal look like for London’s economy?
The Mayor of London commissioned Cambridge Econometrics to carry out research setting out five scenarios, which model possible outcomes for the UK and London, as the UK exits the EU.
- Which economic sectors in London will be most affected by Brexit?
- Will London fare better than other parts of the UK?
- What should London do to prepare for a ‘no deal’ Brexit?
- What can the Mayor do to help support London’s SMEs access new markets outside of the EU?
The London Assembly Economy Committee will tomorrow discuss the impact of Brexit specifically on London. Members will consider findings of the research and question an expert panel. The guests are:
- The Rt. Hon. the Lord Adonis
- Roger Bootle, Chairman, Capital Economics
- Ben Gardiner, Director, Cambridge Econometrics
- Dr Graham Gudgin, Economist, Centre for Business Research, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 10 July at 10:00am in Committee Room 5 (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
Media and members of the public are invited to attend
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or YouTube
