News from Unmesh Desai: Local organisations provided with share of Young Londoners Fund
In response to the announcement that organisations across his constituency have been awarded a share of the latest round of the Mayor’s £45 million Young Londoners Fund, local London Assembly Member, Unmesh Desai AM, said:
“It is very positive to see organisations from across the constituency awarded this vital funding, and they deserve huge congratulations for all of the crucial work they do in our community.
“It’s vital we properly invest in our young people, and that robust measures are put in place to prevent the most vulnerable in our society from becoming caught up in crime.
“City Hall is setting a good standard in this respect, and we now need the Government to follow London’s example. This means sticking to their pledge to abandon austerity and reversing their huge cuts to policing and youth services.”
