News from Unmesh Desai: Major East London cycle route to be delivered by 2020

In response to the Deputy Mayor for Transport’s announcement at the Active Travel Summit, that construction of a major cycle route between Hackney and the Isle of Dogs will begin during this Mayoral term, local London Assembly Member, Unmesh Desai AM, said:

“I am delighted that we are starting to see real progress with the implementation of this route, which will be of huge benefit to local people and enhance connectivity across East London.

“This is a significant step in encouraging more Londoners to get on their bikes, live healthier lifestyles and play their part in tackling congestion and cleaning up our air.

“It is very positive to see the Mayor continue to push through with his commitment to invest record amounts in making cycling easier and safer for all Londoners”.
