The Mayor’s night time vision – the devil’s in the detail

Night Time Commission
Created on
24 July 2017

What is the Mayor of London’s vision for a 24-hour London?

What will the Mayor’s priorities be in terms of diversifying London’s night time economy?

And how will he tackle the challenges that hamper its potential development?

How will he consider the needs of those who live in areas affected by it and those who work in it?

The London Assembly Economy Committee will tomorrow discuss the Mayor’s vision for London’s night time economy directly with the Night Czar and the Chair of the Night Time Commission. The Committee will also hear from the Night Mayor of Amsterdam who will discuss Amsterdam’s approach to being a 24-hour city.

The Committee will hear from:

  • Philip Kolvin QC, Chair, Night Time Commission
  • Amy Lamé, Night Czar
  • Mirik Milan, Night Mayor of Amsterdam (via video call)

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 25 July from 10:00am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
