With Londoners spending more time at home and in their local areas than ever, housing typology and high street vitality will have significant impact on the experience of living in London.
At the end of August, before the second wave hit, smaller city centres had reached 90% recovery, while in London it was only 30%. The Committee will explore how London’s high streets’ businesses could look now the reopening roadmap has been unveiled.
Londoners have rightly stayed in their homes during the pandemic, but many homes will have been in tall flat blocks and difficult to live in 24 hours a day. The Planning and Regeneration Committee will tomorrow look at how the capital’s tall building designs should change in the future. The guests are:
