Take an emissions testing trip

buses and taxis
Created on
26 February 2016

The London Assembly Environment Committee urged the Mayor to continue to lobby the EU for effective Euro 6 testing to be implemented as soon as possible and the tests to include a realistic reflection of urban driving[1]. This is even more relevant following the Volkswagen revelations.

Millbrook Proving Ground is a test track facility where vehicles are assessed and developed to control exhaust emissions, fuel consumption and noise. As well as testing private vehicles, Transport for London’s (TfL) vehicle fleet is also assessed and developed at the site.

You are invited to join Members of the Environment Committee on Monday afternoon for a unique insight into how vehicles are emissions tested to meet EU regulations.

The visit will include:

  • A history of Millbrook Proving Ground and the services it provides
  • An explanation of the current vehicle type approval processes and emissions testing
  • A tour of the Millbrook emissions testing laboratories
  • A tour of the Millbrook test tracks by car (time permitting)
  • Opportunity for discussion with Millbrook Head of Powertrain Laboratories and Senior Test Engineers throughout

Millbrook Proving Ground Ltd,
