- Gun crime offences have been increasing in London for the last three years running[1].
- Last year, gun crime rose by 42 per cent: from 1,793 offences in 2015-16 to 2,544 offences in 2016-17[2].
- The number of instances in which ‘lethal’ guns are fired has also risen: from 239 in 2015-16 to 306 offences in 2016-17.[3]
