Q&A with the Met on violence against women and girls

Following the murders of Sarah Everard, Bibaa Henry, Nicole Smallman, Sabina Nessa, and other women in the capital, London has become national news for all the wrong reasons.

The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee will meet tomorrow to discuss topical matters relevant to policing and crime in London, including violence against women and girls and Metropolitan Police resources.

The Committee will also publish a report with a series of recommendations to the Mayor, the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime and the Metropolitan Police on ensuring London is safe for women and girls.

The guests are:

  • Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime
  • Assistant Commissioner Louisa Rolfe OBE, Met Operations, Metropolitan Police Service
  • Robin Wilkinson OBE, Chief of Corporate Services, Metropolitan Police Service

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 23 March from 10am, in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE.
