Following events in the capital over the weekend and the murder of Sarah Everard, the London Assembly Police & Crime Committee will question the Met Police and Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime on recent policing issues that have taken place across London.
This is the final Police and Crime Committee meeting until the election on 6 May 2021. The Committee will also ask questions on number of other topics including:
- London – crime performance
- A better police service
- A better criminal justice service
- Keeping children and young people safe
- Tackling violence against women and girls
- Standing together against hatred and intolerance
The guests are:
- Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime
- Sir Stephen House QPM, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 17 March from 10 AM. In line with government advice, this meeting will take place virtually via Zoom.
