Putting work and health together

Workplace health
Created on
09 February 2018
  • How much do employers really know about the health of their workers?
  • How can the health of workers be effectively measured and monitored?
  • What specific barriers to healthy work exist for lower paid sectors/workers?
  • Should interventions to address health at work be targeted at employers or employees themselves?
  • What changes are needed to bring about healthier work for all?

The London Assembly Health Committee will hold a conference on Monday examining how to improve support for people who are not being reached by current efforts to improve workplace health. Hosted by Dr. Onkar Sahota, Chair of the Health Committee, the conference will bring together workers' representatives and businesses to work together to improve the health of Londoners.

The following guests speak:

  • Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive, the RSA
  • Professor Yvonne Doyle CB, Health Advisor to the Mayor
  • Angela Bartley, Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust
  • Esi Hardy, Managing Director, Celebrating Disability
  • Hannah Reed, Senior Employment Rights Officer, TUC ;
