Green spaces

Environment Committee - 10:30am-11:15am

London’s parks and green spaces face an uncertain future as funds are limited. The Environment Committee will publish its report, ‘Park life: ensuring green spaces remain a hit with Londoners’ which looks at what measures should be taken to protect and improve the capital’s green spaces.

The report will be launched at an historic and award-winning park in central London which has been restored to its original Victorian design. Volunteers help maintain the garden which hosts after-school clubs, poetry readings, gardening sessions and other local community events.

Time: 10:30am-11:15am

Location: Red Cross Garden, 50 Redcross Way, London SE1 1HA

Community-led housing

Housing Committee – 10:00am in Committee Room 4

The Housing Committee will examine four community-led housing projects in London, to understand their advantages and disadvantages and how further support or a different approach could facilitate them in London.

The Police and Crime Committee will begin its investigation into antisocial behaviour in London.

Policing in London – 10:00am in The Chamber

The Assembly will put questions to Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, and Cressida Dick CBE QPM, Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, on policing in London.

Following this, Assembly Members will submit motions on various topics.
