MQT - Fish Island, Brexit concerns, a TfL Ombudsman and housing

Mayor Sadiq Khan will appear before London Assembly Members tomorrow for Mayor’s Question Time. Topics to be discussed include:

  • Proposed bridges linking the Olympic Park and Fish Island in Hackney Wick
  • London's concerns about Brexit
  • An Ombudsman for TfL
  • Housing record after one year in office

The London Assembly acts as a check and balance on the activities of the Mayor.



The meeting will take place on Thursday, September 14 from 10:00am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).



Media and members of the public are invited to attend – numbers may be limited.

Notes to editors

  1. The London Assembly is part of the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Assembly Members are elected every four years, at the same time as the Mayor. There are 25 London Assembly Members - twelve Labour, eight GLA Conservatives, two Green Party, two UKIP and one Liberal Democrat member.
  2. Questions put to the Mayor by the Assembly Members cover the full range of his responsibilities including policing, the fire service, regeneration and transport.Questions from Assembly Members that are not answered at the meeting are given written answers which are published on the GLA’s website within a week of the meeting.
