The Greater London Authority (GLA) is said to be facing a budget shortfall of up to £493 million over the next two years. This means that possible cuts to services, on top of proposed rises in Council Tax and transport costs could be on the way in 2021-22.
The London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee will tomorrow question the Mayor on his budget plans for 2021-22. What will the budget shortfall mean for vital services for Londoners?
The guests are:
- Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London
- David Bellamy, the Mayor’s Chief of Staff
- David Gallie, Executive Director of Resources, GLA
- Enver Enver, Assistant Director of Group Finance & Performance, GLA
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 5 January 2021 from 10am. In line with Government advice, this meeting will take place virtually.
Media and members of the public can watch the meeting live here.
