The Police and Crime Committee will launch its investigation into the Prevent Strategy, part of the Government’s wider counter-terrorism programme, examining how it has evolved since its inception, how it is delivered across London and its future.

Confirmation Hearings Committee – 3:00pm in the Chamber
The Confirmation Hearings Committee will put questions to the Mayor’s proposed appointees to the offices of the Chairman of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation - Sir Edward Lister; and the Chairman of the London Legacy Development Corporation - Neale Coleman CBE, and make a recommendation to the Mayor on those appointments.

Q&A with Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC), MOPAC and the Met
Police and Crime Committee – 2:30pm in the Chamber
The Police and Crime Committee will hold a Q&A session with:
Stephen Otter, Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary for the National and the London Region
Stephen Greenhalgh, Deputy Mayor for Policing & Crime, Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC)
Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, Metropolitan Police Commissioner
Stephen Otter will discuss the findings of HMIC’s recent investigation into the performance of the Met. The Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime and the Met Commissioner will also answer questions.
