Responding to the Mayor of London’s announcements of funding for two community projects to create green spaces in Haringey. Labour London Assembly Member for Enfield & Haringey, Joanne McCartney AM, said:

“It is great to see these two important projects in Haringey receiving funding from the Mayor and City Hall.

“It will provide opportunities to spruce up pockets of Haringey which don’t have the best access to green spaces. Greenery can help improve people’s wellbeing and the air quality in the local area, so schemes like this are vital to our health, both mental and physical.

“This will also help bring the community together by involving them in the creation of these spaces. I would encourage local residents to get involved in these brilliant schemes.”
