As the murder toll has hit 79 in the capital so far, this year, and people as young as 15 are being murdered, the Police and Crime Committee will question the head of the Metropolitan Police tomorrow at a meeting at City Hall at 10am.
The Commissioner will also be asked to give an update on the criminal investigation into the Grenfell Tower fire disaster at the start of the meeting.
Questions will include the subjects of violent crime, facial recognition technology, and diversity in the Met police force. The guests are:

- Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime
The meeting will take place on Wednesday 4 July from 10:00am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
