In response to the news that Lambeth has been awarded a Cultural Impact Award, as part of the London Borough of Culture competition, local London Assembly Member, Florence Eshalomi AM said:
“Although Lambeth missed out on the winning spots, it has been great to see Lambeth's Next Generation project receive a Cultural Impact Award as recognition for all of the hard work and enthusiasm they have put into the bid, and receive a pot of funding to go towards a bespoke local project.
“This competition has truly brought the community together and highlighted the amount of talent and creativity we have in our local area.
“My congratulations go to the winners, Waltham Forest and Brent.”
