News from Florence Eshalomi MP (past staff): Response to the resignation of the CEO of Govia Thameslink Railway

Created on
15 June 2018

In response to the resignation of the Chief Executive of Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), Charles Horton, Labour’s London Assembly Spokesperson for Transport, Florence Eshalomi AM, said:

“To Londoners whose lives have been disrupted by the drawn-out chaos caused by Govia’s comprehensive failings, this resignation will be little more than symbolic.

“I urge the new Chief Executive to immediately get to grips with improving the franchise’s service across the board and putting an end to the continual delays and cancellations. I look forward to hearing about his or her plans to do so when representatives of Govia and Network Rail join a London Assembly Transport Committee meeting on 25th June”.
