There are one million EU nationals living in London.[1]
On 26 June, the Government published its proposals for safeguarding the position of EU Citizens living in the UK.[2]

Tomorrow, the London Assembly EU Exit Working Group will hear from invited EU citizens living in London, and the organisations supporting them, about their concerns regarding the UK exiting the EU. The meeting will cover:
- Access to advice and support
- Hidden voices
- Community cohesion
- The role of local authorities and the Mayor
Speakers on the panel who will set the scene are:
- Carolyn Downs, Chief Executive, Brent Council

- Dr Charlotte O’Brien, Senior Lecturer, York Law School
- Samia Badani, Head of Campaigns and Stakeholder Engagement, New Europeans
- Sunder Katwala, Director, British Future
The meeting will take place on Wednesday 19 July from 3:30pm in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
