Domestic abuse cases reported to the Met between 23 March – 10 May 2020 were 14% higher than the same period last year. The total number of domestic abuse cases reported over this period increased from 18,707 in 2019 to 21,324 in 2020.
The London Assembly is hosting a free online event on the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on domestic abuse in London.
Join us from 4:30pm tomorrow, Thursday, 15 October to hear an expert panel reflect on the lessons learnt during the initial lockdown period and how this should feed into immediate and future policy to help victims of domestic abuse across London. The panel discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.
