Transport for London’s (TfL) budget has been dominated by Crossrail for many years and with more delays, further investment is needed. The latest cost projections presented to the TfL Board on 7 November 2019 indicate that Crossrail will need a further £400-£650 million to complete the project by 2021. Each time the new line is delayed means less money is available for TfL to invest in transport.
The London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee will review TfL’s Budget for 2020-21 on Monday with questions on Crossrail, fare freezes and project delivery.
The guests are:
- Mike Brown MVO, Commissioner, TfL
- Heidi Alexander, Deputy Mayor for Transport
- Simon Kilonback, Chief Finance Officer, TfL
- David Gallie, Assistant Director of Group Finance, GLA
The meetings will take place on Monday, 6 January at 10:00am in The Chamber, at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
Media and members of the public are invited to attend
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or on our YouTube channel.
