Unflushables - Single-use plastics
Environment Committee
Wet wipes, tampons and period pads are often flushed down the toilet.
Some Londoners are unaware that these items contain plastic and combined with fat and oil create fatbergs and sewage blockages.
The Environment Committee launches its report into single-use unflushable items at the public toilets in Leicester Square next Tuesday. There will be photo/ filming opportunities of unflushable and flushable products with various guest interviews.
