The future of London’s night time economy

Economy Committee

The Mayor has committed to diversifying London’s night time economy. The Economy Committee report ‘Rewrite the night: the future of London’s night time economy’ cautions that London after dark must be affordable, accessible, and inclusive. The report also discusses what the Mayor will need to do to ensure London remains a safe environment to enjoy a night out, and live and work in.

Strategic Issues for Social Housing in London

Housing Committee – 10:00am in Committee Room 5

Following the immediate challenges of the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017, social housing providers are now taking stock of wider implications. The Housing Committee will discuss some of these, including financial impacts on their development plans and ways to involve residents in decision-making. The guests are:

Young-onset dementia

The Health Committee is investigating how to make London a friendlier place for people living with young-onset dementia. The meeting will include evidence from two Londoners with the condition. The following guests will also answer questions:

Transport Commissioner

Transport Committee - 10:00am in The Chamber

The Transport Committee holds a meeting with the Commissioner of Transport every year to explore Transport for London’s (TfL) current and emerging priorities, its financial position, and to discuss TfL’s response to recent Committee work. The guests are:

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, will appear before the GLA Oversight Committee, in his capacity as the former Mayor of London, after being summonsed to answer questions on the procurement of the Garden Bridge project.
