  • Connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) - also known as ‘driverless cars’
  • App-based services - smartphone technology
  • Drones - airborne drones and droids (or ground-based drones)

Waste management: Energy from Waste

Environment Committee

More than half of London’s waste ends up being incinerated and the amount of waste sent for incineration has more than doubled in the last decade, reaching nearly two million tonnes in 2017. London needs to get better at managing the waste it generates. The Environment Committee’s third report into waste examines how the benefits from Energy from Waste can be maximised and its impact on the environment reduced.
