Short changed: The financial health of Londoners
Economy Committee report launch – 10:45am-1:30pm, London’s Living Room
Many Londoners struggle to access quality and affordable financial products and services. The Economy Committee will publish a report on supporting the ‘financial health’ of Londoners, which makes a number of recommendations including calling for young people to be given a bank account automatically.
The launch event will be held in London’s Living Room at City Hall with an introduction from journalist and presenter, Robert Peston. Other speakers include:

Mayor’s Budget 2018-19
Budget and Performance Committee – 10:00am in The Chamber
As part of a series of meetings examining the Mayor’s 2018-19 budget, the Budget and Performance Committee will question the Mayor on his decision to raise council tax to fund London’s police and fire services, his plans to improve London’s transport network despite financial pressures, how he will resolve the financial crisis at the LLDC and more.

Cycling infrastructure

The capital still lags behind other world cities when it comes to cycling. TfL estimates almost eight million daily journeys currently made by motorised modes in the capital could be cycled.
