Lack of SME business space

Economy Committee




The pressure on affordable workspace for SMEs in London is increasing. The Economy Committee publishes its report ‘Helping SMEs to thrive’, which sets out the challenges facing SMEs in London, in terms of work space and what the Mayor can do to help SMEs prosper in the capital. The report makes a number of recommendations to the Mayor of London.

GATEway automated vehicles

Transport Committee




In the second of two site visits for the Future Transport investigation, the Transport Committee will visit the GATEway (Greenwich Automated Transport Environment) project. The project has trialled a level 4 automated shuttle on the Greenwich peninsula since April 2017 and is researching a series of different uses for automated vehicles, including driverless shuttles and urban deliveries.

Q&A with the Met and MOPAC

The Police and Crime Committee will hold a question and answer session with MOPAC and the Metropolitan Police about how Brexit affect the partnership arrangements with the EU for cooperation in the areas of security, law enforcement and criminal justice. Other subjects to be discussed include:

  • Moped-enabled crime
  • Front line policing
