The London Assembly Transport Committee begins a ground-breaking investigation into how we are likely to travel around the capital in the coming decades.  This first meeting will focus on autonomous vehicles and app-based services. The guests are:

 Mayor’s Health Inequalities Strategy

The Mayor has a statutory duty to produce a strategy to promote the reduction of health inequalities among Londoners. The Health Committee will discuss the draft strategy to help inform the Committee’s response to the consultation. The guests are:

 The Mayor’s Draft Environment Strategy for London

Environment Committee – 10:00am in The Chamber

The first of two meetings where the Environment Committee, will discuss all topics in the Mayor’s Draft Environment Strategy. This meeting will explore climate change mitigation and energy, waste, and the transition to a low carbon circular economy. The guests are:

 Access to money: The Mayor’s role in promoting and supporting financial inclusion

The Economy Committee will discuss what the Mayor, the financial services sector, and the charitable sector can do to promote and support financial inclusion across London. How can households be supported to access affordable and appropriate financial services, as well as advice and support to build financial resilience. The guests are:

 Mayor’s Question Time

Sadiq Khan will appear before London Assembly Members for Mayor’s Question Time.  Topics to be discussed include:

Thursday 14 September

 London Resilience – Grenfell  

GLA Oversight Committee – 2:30pm in The Chamber


From 4:00pm the GLA Oversight Committee will discuss the response of London Resilience to the Grenfell Tower Fire. The focus for the meeting is on what was done immediately after the Grenfell Tower Fire to bring all the necessary partners into a decision-making forum and to identify any lessons to be learned from how those partners interacted.
