The Economy Committee publishes its report ‘The fate of local news – read all about it’. The report sets out the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for local newspapers and makes a series of recommendations to the Mayor of London to protect local newspapers and journalists.

London Assembly Annual Report




The London Assembly is elected at the same time as the Mayor of London. The Assembly holds the Mayor accountable for his actions on behalf of all Londoners.



Every year, the Assembly is required by law to produce an Annual Report. This report covers the 2016-17 year.

Vehicle emissions testing in London

Environment and Transport Committees site visit – 11:00-14:30

The Environment Committee and the Transport Committee visit Millbrook Proving Ground, a vehicle testing facility, for a briefing on emissions and fuel economy testing.



The aim of the visit is to further understand the process of emissions testing, and some of the measures being taken by TfL regarding air quality.
