Town centres are important generators of life for local communities.  However, many are now in ‘decline’, particularly in outer London boroughs since the financial crash in 2008.

The Regeneration Committee will assess the health of town centres and discuss Mayoral initiatives aimed at reviving town centres across the capital. The guests are:

Greater London Authority borrowing

Budget Monitoring Sub-Committee – 02:00pm in Committee Room 4

The GLA Group plans to increase its borrowing by nearly 1 billion in 2017-18 and will have borrowed over £4 billion more by 2020-21

Is London’s government heading for an unmanageable debt burden?                                                                                           

The Budget Monitoring Sub-Committee will discuss the borrowing strategy of the GLA Group, including those of Transport for London and the London Fire Brigade.
