Offender mental health

Health Committee – 10:00am in The Chamber

The Health Committee will discuss the mental health challenges facing prisoners and ex-offenders in London.

The Committee will examine the quality of mental health support in prisons, the extent to which mental health is prioritised during probation and how ex-offenders are reintegrated back into communities. The guests are:

Walking and Cycling Commissioner

Transport Committee – 2:00pm in The Chamber

The Transport Committee will meet to question Dr. Will Norman about his new role as Walking and Cycling Commissioner. Topics will include;

  • How the new Walking and Cycling Commissioner role compares to the old Cycling Commissioner role
  • What money is available for walking and cycling
  • Plans for car-free days
  • How to broaden the appeal of the cycle hire scheme to under-represented groups
