The Economy Committee will visit representatives from Westminster Kingsway College to discuss how the college supports apprentices during and after their apprenticeship. The visit coincides with the publication of a report into how women and people from a Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background fare when it comes to apprenticeship success.

Transport Committee rapporteurship site visit – 3:00-4:00pm

Keith Prince AM will meet with members of the Wandsworth Mobility Forum and representatives of local disabled groups in Wandsworth, to discuss service user views on the idea of introducing personal budgets in door-to-door services such as Dial-a-Ride and Taxicard.

Response to Mayor’s 2017/18 Consultation Budget
Budget & Performance Committee

What are the issues of concern in the Mayor’s first budget? The Budget and Performance Committee publishes its response to the Mayor’s consultation budget, which informs the full Assembly’s debate and vote on the Mayor's proposals in February. The Assembly has the power to amend the total budget requirement for each functional body if a two-thirds majority agree to do so. The Mayor then publishes his Final Budget before the start of the financial year in April.

Tuesday 17 January
Notting Hill Carnival
Police & Crime Committee

In recent years the UK’s largest celebration of Caribbean culture has been marred by reports of high crime. The Police and Crime Committee has gathered evidence from the Met Police, Carnival organisers, local councils, the event’s stewarding firm and the public to publish its report, which examines the issue of policing and safety at the Carnival and makes recommendations for the Mayor.

Congestion in London
Transport Committee

The Transport Committee has been investigating congestion in the capital for a number of months. This anticipated report makes recommendations for the short and long term to ease London’s clogged and crowded roads. A road user survey was also conducted to feed into the investigation.

Brexit and migration
Economy Committee – 10:00am in The Chamber

The Economy Committee will investigate the short and long-term effects of Brexit on migration and migration policy in London. The Committee will also look into the impact of possible changes to migration policy on the health and hospitality sectors in London. The guests are:

Green spaces and burst water main incidents

In the first section the Environment Committee will hold a second meeting as part of its investigation into the management of London’s green spaces. The guests are:
