As part of its investigation into London’s micro business challenges and business support, the Economy Committee will take a walk around the Brick Lane/Bethnal Green area to meet with a variety of self-employed business people and micro business owners at their business sites. Potential interviewees include:

  • Paul Gardner, Gardners' Bags, Spitalfields Oldest family business (Retail)
  • Ed Saperia, Newspeak House (Tech Firm)
  • Tallie Maughn, Turning Earth (Maker Space)

  • Mervyn Bennet, Bancroft Garage (Industrial Use)
  • Stuart Archer and Sarah Braun, Archer & Braun (Architects)

  • Stopping Heathrow Expansion
  • The Home Secretary and Police funding
  • Use of borough-wide Section 60 (police powers)
  • Hate Crime
