Brexit talks – is anyone listening to the Mayor?

Created on
17 October 2017

What are the Mayor of London’s plans to protect and boost London’s economy and develop ideas to increase its competitiveness and prosperity post-Brexit?

  • Are there any powers or responsibilities currently exercised at the European level that London government should have?
  • Should there be a second referendum on the final terms of the EU exit deal?
  • What steps are being taken to protect London’s status as Europe’s financial centre?
  • Is the concept of a London visa off the table? If so, what kind of immigration policy is the Mayor pushing Government for?

Tomorrow, the London Assembly EU Exit Working Group will question the Mayor on his role in the Government’s EU exit negotiations, and in preparing London for a future outside the EU.

The guest is:

  • Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London

The meeting will take place on Thursday 19 October from 11:00pm in Committee Room 5 (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend

The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or YouTube
