I have been contacted by a constituent who converted their fleet of vehicles to run on liquefied petroleum gas to qualify for the Alternative Fuel Exemption. Six months ago they lost this discount as the scheme was phased out, and they are now faced with the increase in the congestion zone charge. What steps have you taken/will you take to ensure this measure doesn't have a disproportionate effect on small businesses who are still recovering from the economic downturn?
