On 24th November, in answer to MQ 2014/4196 I was told that the gun amnesty figures would not be released until December. The figures were, however released to the press on the 24th November for publication on 25th November. Information was either wilfully withheld from Assembly Members or Members were given an incorrect answer to an MQ. This is unacceptable. Will you look at procedures for responding to MQs and assure me that such misinformation and bad practice will not be repeated?
