London firefighters have a range of skills which would be of assistance at any potential event on the transport network should it arise during the course of travel to and from work. These skills include immediate emergency care such as dealing with wounds following slips, trips and falls to more serious injuries such as fractures, dislocations, head trauma, the prevention of catastrophic blood loss and respiratory or cardiac arrest.
