Also, for the record, is it not the case that Tower Hamlets currently has the strongest job growth of any London borough, primarily because of Canary Wharf; that Newham will have significant job growth around Stratford City; and that the representation that suggests that East London's economy is not growing is basically ignorant? The key is, as I said, surely you see that these jobs have practically all been exported from those boroughs. What I am looking for is to know what exact jobs are going to arrive in those boroughs, some of the most deprived boroughs in the country, what jobs are they going to have after the Games?

I would not want the record of this meeting to contain such flagrant misrepresentations as the questioner put into it. I have two questions. The first one is, just for the record, can you clarify that a large number of the Olympic jobs are being relocated to new premises within the London Boroughs of Waltham Forest, Newham and, to some extent, Tower Hamlets, but also Barking and Dagenham, which is not one of the five boroughs? They are remaining in East London.

I think perhaps what Angie [Bray] was saying was that you were going to recruit those police officers anyway, but now fortuitously they are being presented as dealing with an anti-social behaviour problem that was not there at the time you made the decision, so there are other things they may not be doing.

You say that TfL is only applying for one at the moment, although others are in mind, and that special circumstances are going to apply before TfL will apply for ASBOs rather than the Transport Police or another Agency doing it. We note that the perception of peoples' safety on the bus fleet is still falling since 2004/2005 and that is despite CCTV and the Police on Buses initiative, which I was pleased to see you bring to Havering. Why do you think that is?
