Serious injury collision investigations involving fatalities in 2024

Thank you for the follow-up response to my questions at the London Assembly Plenary on 5 September 2024. In this you said: “The police will investigate and pursue all drivers who have left the scene of a fatal or serious injury collision that has been assigned to the MPS Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU). Every action is taken by the unit to identify the vehicle that did not stop. What consideration have you given to repurposing car parks in London to create Welfare Hubs for non-office-based workers, eg couriers, postal workers and taxi, PHV and bus drivers, which provide fast charging for electric taxis, toilets and rest areas?
