Summary of request
Attached are two documents (being an example of one of the twelve sites sampled in total), with the png being a map of the Euston Rd. (near KX/Euston stations), where I grouped pollutant levels via their deviation from the average from all sites. The word doc has a couple of graphs where I tried to find a pattern of pollution between different categories of sites – e.g. bus stops and traffic calming measures, along with the raw data for that particular localicy. The atmospheric emissions inventory looks very useful, I will attempt to compare these levels with the data that I collected. After looking at this data I do have a couple of specific questions:
- It’s interesting that the GLA has chosen to separate pollution data between roadside/background. What are the definitions of both types, and how is this data separated?
- Where is the original of the mean data, I notice that there are hardly any incidences of pollution levels going above the 1-3 Low index. The DEFRA DAQI does define each AQI.
- Is there one particular element of pollution that you believe will increase in importance going into the future?
- Similarly which way can you see resuspended road dust going in the future, e.g. using electric vehicles might reduce some pollution elements, but potentially not road dust as much.
- What policies, to be implemented by the mayor, will have the greatest impact on curtailing both emissions?
- Same, but for exposure?
