The final tickets for the Mayor of London’s famous New Year’s Eve fireworks celebrations go on sale at midday on Monday 2 December.

Londoners and visitors from around the world will once again gather along the banks of the River Thames to welcome in the new year with a spectacular display of fireworks, lighting and music in front of the iconic London Eye - our official partner that will be marking the start of its 25th anniversary celebrations this New Year’s Eve.

The celebration, which begins with Big Ben’s renowned chimes, is shown live to many millions around the world, boosting our economy and providing an incredible global advert for our tourism industry. Last year, the BBC’s coverage was the most watched TV programme in the UK, with many millions more watching on the iPlayer and online.

A first batch of tickets went on sale in October, and this will be the final chance to secure tickets to the capital’s biggest night of the year.

Anyone wishing to attend must buy their tickets in advance from Ticketmaster, the only authorised outlet, and are being warned not to try to buy them from any other site. No official tickets will be sold by any other websites and those bought through any other means will not be valid.

This year some ticket prices have increased to enhance security and crowd management around the event, and cover increasing costs seen across the industry.

Tickets cost between £20 and £50 depending on the viewing area and if they are being bought by someone who lives in London. Londoners will pay £15 less on each ticket booked than those living outside of the capital – meaning that they can secure tickets for a number of viewing areas at the same price as last year.

There will also be an opportunity to donate to TAP London, a charity dedicated to supporting homeless Londoners.

Those unable to secure an official ticket are encouraged to welcome in 2025 in London’s fantastic selection of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs across the capital, or watch the display live on BBC One alongside more than 12m TV viewers.

City Hall is working closely with a range of partner agencies including the Met Police, TfL, local authorities and the emergency services to deliver the event.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “I’m proud that every year the eyes of world look to London to see how we welcome in the new year. Our spectacular display of fireworks, lighting and music entertains and delights Londoners and people from across the globe, boosting our economy and providing a fantastic advert for our tourism industry, as we build a better London for everyone. Our tickets are always in high demand so I urge anyone wanting to attend this fantastic evening to buy them as soon as possible from our only authorised outlet.”

Robin Goodchild, Senior General Manager of the London Eye, said: “2025 is truly monumental year for us at the London Eye, marking 25 years since our inception for the millennium, the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks will be the perfect opening to our yearlong celebrations. We are delighted to yet again be the iconic location, for one of the world’s most esteemed storytelling illuminations, a spectacular moment to come together with the Mayor of London to showcase this incredible city. A sensational display of vibrant colours and synchronised sound, we look forward to welcoming in 2025 with those joining us here in London and all those watching on TV at home around the globe with their friends and family.”

The GLA makes no profit from the event, with ticket sales revenue going into improving safety and security.

In 2021, a report by professional services firm Hatch, and promotion organisation London & Partners, revealed that major events contribute more than £600m on average to the capital’s economy every year. The report also found that these events can be a huge catalyst towards London’s recovery from the pandemic. It estimated that every visitor to a concert and cultural event generated, on average, £23 to the London economy.
