Overview of my week
We’ve continued working closely with our TfL colleagues to keep our resilience partners updated on the planned strikes affecting Tube services next week. If the strike goes ahead, Tube services will be affected between Tuesday 25 and Friday 28 August 2015.
Staff on the bus network, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail, tram, Emirates Air Line and River services will not be on strike. These services will operate as normal but they will be much busier than usual, especially during peak hours, between Tuesday 25 and Friday 28 August. Roads and National Rail services and terminals will also be much busier.
TfL will run whatever Tube services they can on those four days, based on the staff that sign into their shifts. All customers are advised to allow more time for their journeys. Further details from TfL available here.
Weather and Environment
Today and tomorrow are generally warm and dry. Rising temperatures tomorrow could trigger heavy rain. The Met Office has issued a Yellow RAIN Alert (Very Low Likelihood of Medium Impacts) to cover this risk.
It will become more unsettled on Saturday night with a band of locally heavy rain during the night and into Sunday, clearing during the afternoon. Remaining unsettled into next week with a mix of sunny spells and occasional rain or showers, possibly heavy.

Flooding update
No flood alerts or warnings are currently in place for London. The Live EA Flood Warnings Map has up to date information on river and tidal flooding.
Air quality update
Air pollution levels are forecast to be low.

This weekend there are planned part closures on the District, Jubilee, London Overground, Metropolitan, and Victoria lines. There’s a planned closure of the Waterloo and City line. For full details of all TfL services, please consult the TfL website.

Security and Counter Terrorism
There are no changes to the threat levels. The threat level from International terrorism is Severe, and for Northern Ireland-related terrorism to Great Britain remains at Moderate.
