Position: Apprentice

Salary: £28,573 annual salary (London Living Wage)

Contract: Contract: 18-month fixed-term apprenticeship

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: 

These roles will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office, but adhering to our policy where you will need to attend our offices at least 50% of your working week.

What You'll Do

  • Support teams across the GLA with a range of day-to-day administrative tasks

About you:

You don't need extensive experience—just enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. If you're organised, communicate well, and enjoy working with others, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential Criteria

  • Be 16 years old or older (up to any age) at the start of the apprenticeship.

  • Have the right to work in the UK and have been ordinarily resident in the UK, EEA, Switzerland, Gibraltar or the UK Overseas Territories for the previous three years, in line with apprenticeship funding requirements. 

  • Not currently be qualified in Business Administration at level 3 or above.

  • Currently not undertaking any other formal form of study (e.g. college or university course).

AI tools may be used to support idea generation and proofreading. However, all submitted content must reflect your own experience. Misrepresentation may result in disqualification.

Additional Information

Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record (DBS) check, but some roles may require additional security screening.
