Development/destruction of parkland (eg Wimbledon Park) should be rejected (or at least reined in) and understand the views of local citizens in the face of big business (AELTC/Wimbledon tennis)

He needs to think out of the box- and have less empty buses on the road, give free travel to low paid workers- nhs, carers, accomodation to llow paid workers- as long as they stay in the job.
London is declining rapidly!!

Small to medium businesses make the bulk of our employers. They are the backbone of our economy and need supporting with costs.
Why do we not stratify our taxes/rates for small to medium business like we do our income tax?
Going after tax they avoid, legal or otherwise might help.
Can we compete with the multinationals or corporate takeover of our highstreets when they hold all the purchasing power? Need more zoning and such to level the playing field or to provide meaningful access to spaces. There are small initiatives looking at things like this but token. Better opportunities to attempt a business without the risk of being broken by one failure. Just by lower costs not covering losses.

Show less of commentThis mayor is killing London - it’s a struggle for Londoners to live with the cycle lanes/lawless cyclists, traffic restrictions and a string of ridiculous, expensive projects mostly promoting ‘ Your Mayor of London’. It’s a mystery how he was re-elected, despite most Londoners strongly disliking his policies and actions.
We seem to be stuck in a hateful, destructive grip.

The mayor and the boroughs must stop antagonism of residents with unnecessary, divisive and wasteful vanity projects like traffic schemes which might satisfy a few and which are deeply prejudicial to the greater community. Cyclists benefit (without paying a bean) and tax-payers suffer.

Try cycling, you'll see it's the cars that impede the bicycles. As fo 20mph, the average speed of traffic is somewhere close to 10mph in inner London, so even if you could get up to 30mph you'd only get to the next traffic light a little sooner.

Show full commentCan anyone build faster than people can arrive and demand council housing? Can anyone build faster than the world population can get here? Can anyone build faster than pronatalist groups can reproduce? Can those who cannot afford their own housing spend their lives subsidising those who sit in council houses with rents far lower than needed to cover the cost of maintaining them? Is it somehow fair and reasonable to give taxpayers' cash to those in no housing need and not with low incomes, while hospice places are closing from lack of funds?
