Show full commentWhat does it mean to be truly internationalist ? This country has relied upon individuals from all over the world historically, we have nurses and doctors from Africa, teachers from Europe and Army personnel from Asia. The world does not start and end with the EU. Post-Brexit, I want us to open our arms to the world, I want us to say it does not matter whether you are from Latvia or Australia. Let's say to the world, you want to live and work here - come join us? I would love a immigration policy which looks at what you can offer, then where you came from.
For the country, we are opening ourselves to trading independently worldwide. Creating new exciting opportunities for this country.
However, I am concerned about how EU citizens have been used as a political football. Let's ease their anxieties.

I am also worried about the rise of hatred and how its been expressed since Brexit was voted for. London is a beautiful due to it's amazing diversity, people are scared and feel unwanted even more than before and this hurts my heart
It's such a mess and we are being governed by a racist idiot who does not have the welfare of people at his heart, just his fame and noterity.
Not in my name, I voted remain and I love my beautiful city!!

Show full commentI am worried that after brexit the air fare, housing prices and cost for importing and exporting goods will increase. There will be tighter security measures in place limiting freedom of movement for people coming from abroad for work and study purposes. We need the brightest and the best people to come to the UK to work or study and by introducing Brexit we are restricting this.

Show full commentAll this seems like cloud-cuckoo land to me. What the referendum really shows, and what really matters, is not how many UK voters want to leave the EU, but the frightening extent to which a small number of very wealthy and very powerful people can intefere with national soveriegnty and democratic processes such as elections and referendums. That is the issue that UK citizens should be obsessing over. The UK legal system seems to be very weak and defenceless against this kind of takeover. The EU, and being a member of it, look like the pinnacles of democratic achievement in comparison to being at the mercy of these shadowy 'influencers', some of whom actually are British. How Brexiteers can claim to want sovereignty, and how they can call the referendum result 'democratic' is beyond me. Follow the money - who made millions out of the referendum, who will make even more out of the UK leaving the EU?

Freedom of speech is very vital in our democratic country, however when it is used deliberately and deceitfully to create fear and harm then ultimately, Freedom of speech starts to become a very dangerous practice and with that shaking its very foundations.

Clearly, those that voted to leave the EU, really care very little about Britain and her future and even less of her people. What is becoming apparant is that die hard Brexiters are obsessed with there own personal ideology which happens to be filled full of bigotry views, even their cruel views of people in general makes them misanthropist.
A little knowlege of our great history may help make those people more patriots to this country. Britain has not been a biological pure race for centurys, lets just start with the Romans which consisted of different nationalities, staying for 400 years, mixing and having having children with the locals as did the Vikings,Normans.

I have visited many production sites in recent years, the supply and production chains with England are very connected. Brexit has a huge economic impact to London, the UK and the EU as a whole. For this and many other reasons I started a private campaign to motivate the people in UK to demonstrate peacefully, even in the rain.
The rest of Europeans can support them, by sending pictures with an umbrellla.

I'm sick of all the scare stories. It's only the rich who will suffer as a result of Brexit because their property values will fall, their tenants will pay less rent and they won't be able to hire their employees on the Romanian minimum wage.
I would like to "motivate" you to support the 52% of us who won the referendum.

Show full commentThere is nothing good that is coming out of Brexit. Food prices are continuing to increase which means most people are starting to eating less and unhealthly, so that they can afford to pay their increasing bills and travel fare and support their children. I suppose we should also become accustom to the fact that homelessness will increase in London as well as the whole country.
Brexit has brought proverty. We should thank all those who became overly obessed with Self Sovereighty (as if it really matted who makes the rules as long as our people and country prospered which we did) also the obsession with immigrants as if unemployment was an issue, as if immigrants are not human. In fact, immigration has been good throughout the last century for this city and our country to prosper.
Nothing is ever mentioned that during the Second World War a very high level of men from around the world, particularly in colonised and commonwealthy countries (which includes Polish men) came and joined the British Army to fight together in the Second World War and now we have in return become ' Xenophobic', because this is what 'Brexit' really boils down to.
Britain hardly makes anything tangable anymore, we import nearly everything, the world does not depend on us for anything really but Britian depends on the world, and Europe has been good for us. Most of the people I know or meet always say the same thing, that Britain is finished.
So, I suppose it will be us the British that will be looking into becoming immigrants in the foreseeable future, how about Australia, or even nearer to home Scotland whilst we still do not need a passport, they need and want immigration for their countries businesses.

Last century, we fought a war over this - and won. I don't want to be ruled by the Germans. 4) Nobody is saying immigrants aren't human, but BRITAIN lS FULL. 5) I heard all about the Polish people who helped us to win our war last century. That doesn't mean they all need to come here. 6) If Britain is "finished", if the Europeans don't need us any more, WHY DO THEY ALL COME HERE???

What we do excel at is culture, music, art, creative industries, technology, science, yet they are not valued. Instead we have coffee shops and service sector jobs. We need to produce and export. Because AI will kill the service sector.

Once upon a time, the microwave was going to kill the art of cuisine, the car was going to kill off the train and the telephone was going to kill off the postman. It never happened. I don't expect a robot to serve my coffee because humans are cheaper and more versatile when it comes to responding to the unpredictable demands of running a shop. What would a robot do if a weirdo showed up at the counter? Etc.

Of course we need a varied economy. That includes servicing the rising demand for coffee shops, as well as manufacturing the things that you and I would like to buy.
