Subsidised insulation

  • Meeting date: 14 December 2011
The current proposals for the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) - to be introduced Autumn 2012 and January 2013 respectively, will remove subsidies for cavity wall insulation and loft insulation. Households taking up the Green Deal will instead pay for insulation though a long -term, low interest loan. How are you ensuring that ALL Londoners (not just those in RE:NEW home energy efficiency programme areas) take up the opportunities for subsidised insulation now before those subsidies are removed?
