Supporting London’s Armed Forces Community (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Keith Prince
  • Meeting date: 09 October 2025
Keith Prince AM: Thank you, Chair. Can I mirror your comments to the Chair, first of all? Mr Mayor, would you agree to help to link up the GLA with the London Armed Forces Network? This is a body that brings together partners to give advice to service personnel and veterans around mental health, housing, finance, and so on.

Bus Speeds in London (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Thomas Turrell
  • Meeting date: 09 October 2025
Thomas Turrell AM: Thank you, Chair. Mr Mayor, with regards to bus times and the Superloop in particular, I have spotted that a couple of the new Superloop routes are going to replace existing bus routes. For example, the SL11 is set to replace the 472 route and in my constituency, we have seen other services, like the 138, reducing service. We have had a school bus route that has been cut. Could you just assure me that new Superloop routes are not being used to replace other bus routes in order to artificially improve bus times?

Freedom of Speech (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Leonie Cooper
  • Meeting date: 09 October 2025
Léonie Cooper AM: Thank you very much, Mr Mayor, although I am not sure many of us wanted the images of blimps above London of politicians wearing nappies or yellow bikinis restored to our memories. I just wanted to come back to the issue of freedom of speech. I notice that Assembly Member Boff had posted on social media to say that people in Havering and Redbridge should perhaps have the opportunity to express their opinions about this change from dark blue to turquoise that has taken place with Assembly Member Prince. It was. Assembly Member Boff did post on...

Responding to Public Order Pressure (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Lord Bailey of Paddington
  • Meeting date: 09 October 2025
Lord Bailey of Paddington AM: Thank you, Chair. Good morning, Mr Mayor. The police resource most under stress at this moment will be the man and woman power - the people power - of the police in service. These protests have been particularly hard work for the police service. Two thousand MPS officers are off due to stress and mental health. This is a very worrying statistic. How are you ensuring that these people, who dedicate their professional lives to our safety, are being looked after on a day-to-day basis?

Transport Infrastructure in outer London (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Thomas Turrell
  • Meeting date: 09 October 2025
Thomas Turrell AM: Good morning, Mr Mayor. Before I ask my question, I am sure you will want to join me in thanking the 100 or so firefighters who are currently tackling a blaze on Penge High Street in my constituency, thank them for their bravery and the speed which they have got this fire under control. Speaking of outer London and transport in outer London, you have mentioned the lack of public transport in outer London which does lead to higher car dependency and it is on that that I once again draw back to this RAC list published...
