Do you nominally support this to keep the East End quiet or do you really support it? If the latter, what proposals do you have to take the idea forwards?

What plans do you have for improvement to and promotion of this relatively lightly used line when it transfers to TfL? Are you aware of aspirations for a second intermediate station, and do you support this idea?

West Anglia Routes Station refurbishments

  • Reference: 2014/5508
  • Question by: John Biggs
  • Meeting date: 17 December 2014
The Overground is already established as a strong brand, particularly on the Orbital route, North London Line and Barking-Gospel Oak (albeit where it is chronically overcrowded). It struggles a little more on the Euston-Watford Line. One of its strengths has been the investment in safe, well-lit, clean, staffed stations. It has been suggested that the relatively meagre sum, £25m, available for the 24 stations transferring to TfL will probably not be enough to secure the quality of refurbishment that would be needed to meet the 'brand standard' on these new lines. Is this the case? While new rolling stock will...

100 Bus Route Diversion

  • Reference: 2014/5507
  • Question by: John Biggs
  • Meeting date: 17 December 2014
Due to the major road works at the Aldgate Gyratory it was necessary for TfL to r-route the 100 bus route through Wapping. This diversion, along Lehman Street to Vaughn Way is, in my view and that of many of my constituents who have contacted me on the issue not the best option. Buses have to cross The Highway and at peak times can be waiting 20 minutes to do so. I believe that a diversion along Prescott Street would be more efficient. Can you ask TfL to this review this diversion as a matter of urgency?

Seven Sisters Road through Woodberry Down - 3

  • Reference: 2014/5503
  • Question by: Jennette Arnold OBE
  • Meeting date: 17 December 2014
I have been asked to put the following question to you by a resident of Woodberry Down: "Woodberry Down residents have raised concerns at recent public meetings about the speed at which vehicles travel along the Woodberry Down stretch of Seven Sisters Road. Motorbikes, particular, can routinely be seen breaking the speed limit. Why are there no speed cameras in the area and what other measures are TfL and the Metropolitan Police willing to employ in order to improve safety on this stretch of road?"

  • Meeting date: 17 December 2014
I have been asked to put the following question to you by a resident of Woodberry Down: "Crossing the Woodberry Down stretch of Seven Sisters Road is regarded by some local residents as hazardous. Seven Sisters Road through Woodberry Down - 1

  • Reference: 2014/5279
  • Question by: Jennette Arnold OBE
  • Meeting date: 17 December 2014
I have been asked to put the following question to you by a resident of Woodberry Down: "As you are aware, an application has been made to narrow the Woodberry Down stretch of Seven Sisters Road from six lanes to four (in keeping with the Haringey and Islington stretches of the road). Can you tell me what modelling has been carried out by TfL regarding the impact that the proposed narrowing will have on traffic and congestion in the area and what conclusions have been drawn as a result of this modelling?"
