Question
Recycling Rates (Supplementary) [17]
Can I just finally, Chair, come back to what the high performing boroughs can do in terms of encouraging and supporting the low performing boroughs. For instance, something like the beacon council issues. Have you considered, and are there measures to encourage the high performing boroughs to work with those low performing boroughs to show them how they, too, can become high performing boroughs?
Answer
We are looking at best practice guidelines and that will be based on what the high performing boroughs have achieved. But we are going to new areas like housing estates now, which is a new area for everyone, so we should all move along there together. So, we've all got quite a lot to learn. You're right to say that we can spread good practice across London, because some of the boroughs are doing extremely well, and have got some good ideas.
