What else do I need to know?

  • To volunteer, we recommend that you wear sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing to suit conditions on the day (clothes you don't mind getting dirty). Stay for as long as you wish. Can’t make Sunday? We also run sessions locally during the week, please ask for more info.
  • Bring a packed lunch if you like. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will not be able to provide the usual hot drinks and biscuits. Please bring what you need with you, including plenty of water.
  • Covid-19 information. Please follow these guidelines to help keep everyone safe:. Do not volunteer if you or anyone you live with have any Covid-19 symptoms, or have tested positive for Covid-19 (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/). Do not volunteer if you, or anyone you live with is classified as being extremely clinically vulnerable (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-shielding). If you feel ill whilst volunteering, you must inform the project leader immediately. If you fall ill within 72 hours of being on a project, you must inform us immediately. Please travel to and from project on foot, by bicycle or by car if possible, and avoid increasing the pressure on public transport. You will be issued with a colour coded set of tools that are yours for the day, which will have been disinfected before being given to you.
