Becoming a Team London Major Event volunteer is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of some of the world’s most exciting events.
If you are interested in being part of Team London then you simply need to create an account on our volunteer management platform Rosterfy. Once you have done this you can explore our current opportunities, and we will notify you when opportunities open.
From all the support I received from event paid staff and my volunteering colleagues, I walked away with my sense of self-worth restored and invigorated!
About volunteering at Major Events in London
Every year, London welcomes some of the world's biggest sporting, music, arts and cultural events, and Team London’s Major Event volunteers are integral to their success.
Our Major Event volunteers programme supports a range of large-scale events and celebrations across the capital by providing volunteers who share their knowledge, pride, and enthusiasm on behalf of the Mayor of London.
Team London Major Event volunteers are friendly faces that the public from across London and the world meet on the ground, ensuring events are successful and enhancing London’s reputation as a great city to visit.
Our volunteers take on various roles at different events, but often focus on interactions with the public. For example, helping fans find where they need to go, supporting artists performing on the main stage, and drumming up a festival spirit.
In recent years, our volunteers have supported UEFA EURO 2020, UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, FIA Formula E, Major League Baseball, and the King’s Coronation. Our volunteers also play a key role in delivering the Mayor of London’s celebrations, including New Year’s Eve, Black on the Square, St Patrick's Day, and Eid in the Square, to name just a few.
Each year hundreds of volunteers take part in this programme, supporting the delivery of events, learning new skills, gaining unique experiences, and making friends along the way.
It's wonderful to see London's full of colour, excitement, and diversity of people from within and external to the city. It's great to be part of this!

Our roles are designed to be fully accessible, and we take every step to ensure there will be no boundaries to you taking part. We will always work with you as an individual to make adjustments to ensure you can confidently take part.
